“Travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.”
Miriam Beard
“Don’t tell me how educated you are, tell me how much you traveled.”
Mohammed
“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.”
Maya Angelou
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.”
Mark Twain
In order to fully appreciate where I come from, who I am, and what I stand for; I must travel.
Going places unknown, with no plan and just the bag in my back, is a rush. A journey with an end which changes a person can not be achieved in any other way. I am sure many can say that about many different things. To each their own. For me, traveling is a simple way of changing, growing, seeing God outside my small confines of Oklahoma.
