Time is like a handful of sand- the tighter you grasp it, the faster it runs through your fingers.

Isn't that so true? Wow, here we are...it is almost Christmas, the end of 2009, and the end of a season here in New Zealand. A time in which I can only hope I took advantage of every second. Friends will be leaving us tomorrow morning, and the rest of the backpacker teams leave this Saturday morning. Let's be honest, I may never see some of these people again for the rest of my life. That is one of the difficulties of life, learning to say goodbye.

“Time goes by so fast, people go in and out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you.”

I am so excited for outreach! Two months of intentionally loving until it hurts.
This past week was really fun. We all drew names and for the whole week got to bless the person we drew. I had an absolute blast doing it and being secretive! My small group leader Nicki got my name and all week I was blessed with verses from Song of Solomon, a cake, and coffee! At the end of the week, we all dressed up, ate dinner, and a dance party. Good times!

Honestly, I would love to write more, but this is my last Sunday so I'm going to go find my friends.
Oh each team is going to be keeping a blog and I will be updating ours. Here is the link, enjoy!

If I were home in the States, I would go get a vanilla latte with you at the Coffee Shop on Cherry Street. Oh well, I guess I can wait three more months...
